Cookie Tour a Sweet Success!

December 4th, 2014 by David Jones

Thanks to everyone for making this year’s Cookie Tour so successful!  More than 700 people came out on a beautiful Saturday last month to tour six inns and bed and breakfasts in the downtown Historic District, sample a delicious homemade cookie and collect the recipe to take home!   All the inns were gussied up in their holiday finery which provided ample opportunities for guests to get inspired and collect decorating ideas.  Participants could hop on the trolley or enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride as they strolled from inn to inn.  A fun part of the tour is seeing former guests return and welcoming new guests for future visits!  But perhaps the best part of the Cookie Tour is the fact that the Amelia Island Bed and Breakfast Association donates a portion of its profits to benefit a local charity.  This year’s charity was Micah’s Place, a a local center helping to prevent domestic violence.
